The Barista Training short course, delivered by VEG Education, is a one-day, non-accredited program designed to introduce participants to essential espresso coffee skills in a practical, hands-on environment. The course covers the basics of espresso machine operation, coffee extraction, milk texturing, and workplace hygiene, providing learners with a strong foundation for entry-level hospitality roles. This introductory program can also act as a pathway to the accredited unit of competency or skill set SITSS00080 Espresso Machine Operation, supporting students who wish to progress to formal qualifications in the hospitality industry.

We teach you how to use a coffee machine from scratch. With no prior experience, you will leave knowing how to:

  • Froth milk
  • Make espresso
  • Make all of the coffees that you would find in a cafe
  • Clean and maintain the coffee machine
